WELCOME TO ARABIC Level 2

WRITING WITH SIX BASIC FUNDAMENTALS

• Arabic Level 1 is a prerequisite for this course. If you have not taken Arabic Level 1 (Reading) yet, please do so.
• In this course, you will learn writing in the Arabic language with six basic fundamentals; the same six fundamentals that you learned in Arabic Level 1. It is important that you learn how to read before you can write. This is because when you learn how to read, you mind takes snapshots of the images of the letters and words and records them in your memory. Then, you mind links those images with the sounds as you learned from your teacher. Only after that, will you find it easier to write down what you read.
• The contents of this course are as follows:
  • Huroof – Arabic Letters (4 sessions)
  • Harakat – Arabic Vowels (4 sessions)
  • Tanween – Implied Noon (4 sessions)
  • Madd – Stretch (4 sessions)
  • Sukoon – Resting Sound (4 sessions)
  • Shaddah – Emphasis (4 sessions)
• Each concept is followed by exercises and dictation.

Approx. Duration: 24 sessions – 12 weeks – 3 months
