Quran Program – Level 1 – Nuraniyah – Basics of Recitation

Welcome to Level 1 of the Maktab program.

• In this level, the student will begin learning Quran from scratch.
• The student will focus on the Nuraniyah Book, which contains the 6 basic fundamentals that are required to begin reciting the Quran. They include:
  • Arabic Letter (Huroof)
  • Three Vowels (Harakat)
  • Vowels with Noon (Tanween)
  • Three Stretch Letters (Madd)
  • Resting Sound (Sukoon)
  • Doubling Letter (Shaddah)
• Each of these concepts comes with strong 100% practical exercises to prepare the student for Quran
• Each lesson is practiced with and without spelling
• Each lesson is followed by a practical exam
